Difficult Days 

To my Monday Morning Coach Friends and Readers: 

These are difficult days for me and my family.  Tragically one of my nephews, 17-year-old Jacob Van Winkle lost his life in a traffic accident on the day he was to graduate from high school last week.  There are no words that can explain such unexpected heartache, pain and loss.  I share this with you because I hope you’ll understand if I take a week or two off from my regular weekly posts.  And secondly, it has been a painful and yet powerful reminder that none of us is promised tomorrow. 

So my message this week is:  Don’t wait! 

•  Are there words of love or encouragement you’ve been “meaning” to say to someone?
•  Is there someone you need to forgive?  Don’t wait!
•  Have you dreamt of taking a special trip or fulfilling a long-time goal?  Don’t wait!
•  Do you need to have a health check-up or change a life-damaging habit?  Don’t wait!
•  Have you promised to spend more time with friends, children, your spouse or other family members?  Don’t wait.
• Is there a conversation you need to have about something important that you've been putting off.  Don't wait!
• Have you been meaning to get insurance or take care of a will or family trust.  Don't wait!

Don’t know what’s going on in your world, but I hope this message will remind you to embrace those you love, take hold of life, tell people you love them and whatever you do, don’t wait!
