What Do You Believe?

I had one of those conversations this morning that was a welcome slap in the face. I’m very fortunate in my profession to be surrounded by brilliant and gifted coaches, personal development experts and others on a path of growth who are willing to share their gifts with me. This morning’s conversation with someone I barely know, but who chose to show up for me at the perfect moment, focused on what I believe; not in some religious sense, but in the sense
of what beliefs I’m allowing to infiltrate and run my life. It was powerful! So the question this week is: What do you believe? Here are some of the answers that came up for me as I pondered this question. Perhaps my words will resonate with you, and perhaps you’ll have your own eye-opening, possibility-expanding conversation today, starting right now. Here goes:
- I believe that I am more than enough to deal with whatever shows up today.
- I believe that I am exactly where I am supposed to be, learning what I am supposed to learn right now.
- I believe that every person I meet brings me some kind of gift.
- I believe that miracles are happening all around me. I choose to see with miracle-vision today.
- I believe that when a door closes, somewhere a window opens. I can cry over the closed door or look expectantly toward the open window.
- I believe I learn more in the valleys than on the mountaintop.
- I believe that I am the gift for someone today.
- I believe in the brilliance and resilience of the human spirit to bend but not break.
- I believe that I will not pass this way again, and I will give this moment what I have to give.
- I believe there are no mistakes in life, only great learning experiences.
- I believe that my thoughts and words have creative life energy, so I will choose them wisely to create what I want.
- I believe that there could be no other way for me to learn the lessons I need to learn than to be on the path I’m on today.
- I believe that’s true for everyone else as well.
- I believe that I can do things when I focus on one day at a time and not try to solve the lessons of a lifetime in advance.
- I believe in second chances, and third and fourth and…
What do you believe? The power of your beliefs will either imprison you or set you free. Today, I invite you to join me today on the path of freedom. It starts with your belief. It starts now.
Here's to freedom!
